On my way to a flight to San Fran, I walked past a ton of awesome art in the John Wayne Airport. Located on the upper departure level Terminal A (across from Gates 2 through 5) are a collection of paintings by Robert Dowd.
Staying true to the definition of Pop Art, the paintings are bold satires of American currency and stamps. Most of the artwork was completed in the 1960s at the height of the Pop Art movement. It’s definitely worth a look on your next flight out of SNA!
