Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim holds Dr. Sketchy’s sessions. What? You don’t know what Dr. Sketchy’s is? Well, I’ll tell you.
Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School is a life drawing event that was originally started in New York by two artists. If you have ever been in a life drawing class, you probably know that it’s usually some fat old dude that you have to sit there and draw for about 6 hours. At Dr. Sketchy’s, the model is always dressed up in a funky way, so it makes it so much more fun! Sometimes the model will be dressed as a burlesque dancer, other times you might get a drag queen. Either way, the drawing session is sure to be awesome.
We wanted to check out the session last night, but we were unable to attend. Luckily, Dr. Sketchy has an Instagram account (drsketchysoc) so we were able to experience the event through our iPhones (not as awesome, but it’s better than nothing. Enjoy the slideshow and we hope to see you all at the next event!
